HO Scale D&RGW 46ft GS Gondola (71k Series)
This custom designed HO Scale 3D printed kit contains parts for either one or two GS Gondolas as rostered by the Denver & Rio Grande Western (D&RGW) in the 71000 - 71999 number series. These cars were built in 1943, at 46ft long, with a 70 ton rating.
These cars were built with wooden sides, due to wartime steel restrictions; some cars were re-sheathed with steel starting in 1949, but some continued to retirement in 1972 with wood sides.

(1) Kadee Ajax brakewheel
(1) decal sheet with 2 of 28 possible preset numbers, or additional numbers
(1) 5.25” Lead metal bar for ballast weight

Modelers will need: Cast (Bettendorf) trucks, 33” wheelsets, couplers, paint, & wire for brake rods. Wire Grab versions have grab iron drill points sized for Tichy 18” grab irons (#3021), and will also need wire for the brake retainer piping on the B end.
